Marqués de Cáceres

Towards the end of the sixties, Enrique Forner founder of the Bodega, guided by the distinguished professor Emile Peynaud, chose the best location in Rioja Alta an area renowned for its fine wines to establish the Bodega.
Hereby both men culminated a very productive collaboration, which began in Bordeaux where the Forner family were already proprietors of a Grand Cru Classé, Chateau Camensac, as well as Chateau Larose Trintaudon, a Cru Bourgeois Superieur, previously owned by the Duke of Infantado.
Enrique Forner completed his team, joined by his daughter Cristina and the collaboration of an enthusiastic group of professionals and after the difficult beginnings in their path, slowly but surely the Bodega became known and consolidated its image of prestigious wines.
The tireless work carried out by Cristina Forner in the export market has permitted Marqués de Cáceres to rise throughout the world amongst the finest brands of Spanish wines. - Extract from Marqués de Cáceres's website
