Anglesey, or Ynys Môn in it's native Welsh, is an island located off of the North West coast of Wales in the United Kingdom with a population of around 70,000. It's a fairly low-lying island with northerly parts quite mountainous. The soils in Anglesey are complex with areas of schist, along with granite, limestone and more.
Anglesey has a cooler climate by wine making standards and as a result often uses grape varietals that can handle those conditions, German varietals such as Phoenix, Seyval Blanc and Rondo are popular in this region.
