2012 Matua Pinot Noir

Matua Pinot Noir 2012 Marlborough

Gareth 's tasting notes on this wine

Cherry in colour with a watery rim. This wine is very low in viscosity. The nose is predominantly dried red fruits with a little violet, pine nuts and some vegetal tones. Medium to light in body, this wine has minimal tannins and good acidity to play with the slight warmth, the balance is excellent. Prominent flavours on the palette are rhubarb, dark cherry, peppery with a little oak. A good finish completes this well rounded wine. I really enjoyed this wine, light and refreshing with good spice.
