Gareth 's tasting notes on this wine
The first thing that leaps out about the nose is the plum and other dark fruits, those notes are swiftly followed with a little licorice and some smokiness. The body is medium-full with noticeable acidity and firm tannins. Tastes of bitter cherry and raspberries are prevalent on a palette which is nicely rounded with a touch of vanilla. This wine has decent balance and some white pepper spice that accentuates the long finish. Easy drinking, deliciously fruity, a wine I'd recommend for almost any situation.
