The Scuppernong varietal wine grape

Scuppernong is a variety of Muscadine, a grape that can be found throughout the southern United States often used to make sweet wines.
Scuppernong, by contrast, is only found in North Carolina and is usually a greenish or bronze colour compared to regular Muscadine's red. The name comes from the Scuppernong River in the region, wines produced from this grape are generally dry reds.
