Vidal Blanc

Vitis Vinifera, White Grape

The Vidal Blanc varietal wine grape

Originally developed in France in the 1930's, Vidal Blanc is a hybrid grape produced from Ugni Blanc.
Vidal Blanc is mainly used in colder climates, where it's particularly adept at creating wines known for being high in sugar. Due to these characteristics it's popular in parts of Ontario, New York and Ohio amongst others.
